The very heart of our work is to give families a home where they can feel secure. We are aware that many households lack secure long-term housing which creates burdens on families unable to meet their basic needs of shelter, rest, and security. Housing insecurity further contributes to negative impacts on health and development with many Florida communities as a whole being affected.
We provide more than a home and place where one can rest. Our efforts include providing programs, services, and referrals to meet all the needs of a household. This may include down-payment assistance programs, special lending programs, and representation for those discriminated against according to fair housing laws.
We also consider needs of food and emergency assistance, mental health, physical health, home maintenance, financial education, and more through our own programs, community partnerships, and public services.
